Kids Leading the Way With Fans and Funds

Kids & Teens help make the Fan Drive ?cool? this year!

The Summer Fan Drive has long been a favorite cause for youth groups to rally around. This year Family Eldercare is placing a special focus on youth giving and volunteering by reaching out to youth organizations to encourage them to build Fan Drive Teams?and get involved in other exciting ways this summer.

?With a four-month long campaign carried out during the summer months, it?s the perfect time for summer camps, faith community youth groups, scout troops and more to get involved,? said Director of Development Becca McPherson, ?this is a great way to encourage community-involvement, philanthropy and the benefits of multi-generational programs.?

Youth groups participating in the Summer Fan Drive will be rewarded with special recognition and youth-oriented fun at the?June 21st?Fan Fare?Friday?event at Threadgill?s World Headquarters. A pancake pileup (courtesy of Threadgill?s), children?s concert and family fun are all planned for the early hours of the day-long event. Teens may also want to stick around for the free lunchtime and afternoon live music Fan Fare?Friday?is famous for. Youth Fan Drive Teams are encouraged to wrap up OR kick off their fan drives at Fan Fare?Friday?so that we can recognize their participation from the stage!

All Summer Fan Drive Teams receive support and resources from Family Eldercare to make their drives successful, including posters, t-shirts, PSA?s and more. Contact Jenny Paul, Events & Volunteer Coordinator to learn more or register your Summer Fan Drive Team!
